My Savior

My Savior, my Savior is so full of love,

Yet when He came, I flew like a dove.

I knew it was grace from God Himself,

I fell short of the goal and now sit on a shelf.

Oh why must it be like this for I know

Of the blessings and promises on which You bestow.

The light I can see is so near and true

The answers elude me, I see only blue

Everything grand and glorious too,

The road is narrow and traveled by few.

The widening comes, and soon it will tell

Of how many men came, and how many fell.

I know that your are and said I am

The ultimate sacrifice, the blood of the Lamb.
